Child and Family Wellbeing Program

The aim of this grant program is to provide support to children and families where the outcome of the funding would provide social, emotional or physical well-being benefits to the child or the family as a whole.

Items that be considered for funding include:

  • Financial hardship - support with bills related where possible to the child’s direct care needs. Including; electricity bill over summer or winter, urgent medical costs, transport needs etc.
  • Family and/or parent retreats - support for an annual family holiday or a once-per-annum parent break.
  • Equipment/ assistive technology to support the child – purchase equipment over and above NDIS Plan. Including; sensory equipment, communication software, seats, bathing equipment, feeding equipment etc
  • Capital Works/ Renovations – support on a case-by-case basis to families who need to make modifications to their home or vehicle and need drafting or architectural plans not covered by the NDIS
  • Support Needs – Including; counselling support for a parent; child development activities; community engagement programs not easily or readily available via other funding sources
  • Other exceptional circumstances - please discuss with your coordinator.

This is a small grants program for items costing from a few hundred to around $2000. Some items have caps. These funds may be used for all or partial funding of an item, holiday, service or other expense.

I understand that I will be required to show proof that funding was expended on the agreed item/s or services as approved or I will provide a paid invoice for reimbursement of the agreed amount by Hannah's House.

As part of the grant process, the funder (JABB) has requested families provide a brief story and/or photo of how the application was used and how it improved wellbeing. Please email your response to info@hannahshouse.org.au

Hannah's House may also approach you to showcase your story via our website, social media or annual review - this will be optional and will not affect your grant if you do not wish to participate.

All funds must be expended or pre-paid by no later than 31 December 2024.
