About Hannah's House
Every dollar your raise when you sign up to host a Shine For Hannah Day will help bring care, comfort and joy to families with children with complex and life-limiting conditions.
At Hannah's House, we offer essential health and support services to children and young individuals, who face life-limiting and complex conditions.
Our primary goal is to empower these children and their families to enhance their quality of life, starting from the moment of diagnosis and extending through the journey of recovery or bereavement, and beyond.
Hannah's Story
Hannah's life defied expectations from the very beginning.
Hannah was born with a rare congenital condition and was not expected to live past her first birthday. Her condition demanded constant care and vigilant monitoring, which parents Jacky and Martin faithfully provided at home. Tragically, in 2010, Hannah passed away at the age of 19.
Families like Hannah's often find themselves challenged with the continuous and daunting set of physical, emotional, and financial challenges, as they dedicate themselves to round-the-clock care for their children. This level of caregiving can lead to exhaustion, social isolation, compromised mental health, and a significant decline in overall well-being, affecting not only the parents but also their other children.
Hannah's mum and dad Martin and Jacky founded 'Hannah's House' to offer unwavering support to children, from birth to 18 years, who have been diagnosed with life-limiting or complex conditions, as well as their families.
We are dedicated to ensuring families receive the support they need, when they need it.
