SHINE FOR HANNAH

Let’s come together this March and truly shine with hope, compassion and joy.

Host a Shine For Hannah party anytime in March and do something extraordinary for children with complex medical needs.

Each March, we ask you to help us transform Perth into a sea of yellow to raise funds and awareness for children with life-limiting or complex conditions and their families, supported by Hannah’s House.

Hannah Watson’s story is one of love, resilience, and courage. Born with a rare congenital condition, Hannah defied medical expectations, living a life that inspired all who knew her. Despite the constant care and vigilance required to manage her condition, Hannah’s family provided her with a home full of love, strength, and hope. Tragically, Hannah passed away in 2010 at the age of 19, leaving behind a legacy that continues to touch lives today.

Hannah’s parents, Jacky and Martin, founded Hannah’s House to ensure that families like theirs would never have to face their journey alone. The organisation now provides vital support, care, and services to children from birth to 18 years who have been diagnosed with life-limiting or complex conditions, as well as their families.

Why we need YOU to Shine for Hannah

Families caring for children with complex medical needs face immense challenges—physically, emotionally, and financially. The funds raised through Shine for Hannah enable Hannah’s House to provide essential services, such as in-home nursing care, respite, emotional support, and guidance to families navigating these difficulties. Your participation ensures these families receive the care and assistance they need to improve their quality of life.

About Hannah's House

Every dollar your raise when you sign up to host a Shine For Hannah Day will help bring care, comfort and joy to families with children with complex and life-limiting conditions.

At Hannah's House, we offer essential health and support services to children and young individuals, who face life-limiting and complex conditions.

Our primary goal is to empower these children and their families to enhance their quality of life, starting from the moment of diagnosis and extending through the journey of recovery or bereavement, and beyond.

Hannah's Story

Hannah's life defied expectations from the very beginning.

Hannah was born with a rare congenital condition and was not expected to live past her first birthday. Her condition demanded constant care and vigilant monitoring, which parents Jacky and Martin faithfully provided at home. Tragically, in 2010, Hannah passed away at the age of 19.

Families like Hannah's often find themselves challenged with the continuous and daunting set of physical, emotional, and financial challenges, as they dedicate themselves to round-the-clock care for their children. This level of caregiving can lead to exhaustion, social isolation, compromised mental health, and a significant decline in overall well-being, affecting not only the parents but also their other children.

Hannah's mum and dad Martin and Jacky founded 'Hannah's House' to offer unwavering support to children, from birth to 18 years, who have been diagnosed with life-limiting or complex conditions, as well as their families.

We are dedicated to ensuring families receive the support they need, when they need it.
